Robert Butler 1937 – 2015 Robert Butler passed away peacefully at his home in Glasgow September 15, 2015. He was 78 years of age. Robert Allen Butler was born July 22, 1937 in Glasgow to Eb and Nancy (Dibble) Butler. Robert attended Dalton School in Chariton County and Evans School in Glasgow. Robert worked as a farm laborer for many years helping local farmers in the tobacco and hay fields. He also worked for the City of Glasgow for a number of years. Robert didn’t know a stranger he enjoyed walking, fishing, and playing his guitar. Robert was a kind loving man always willing to help someone in need. He will be missed by all that knew him. Robert is survived by his four sisters, Maude Crowbarker, Lucile Butler, Eva Mae Butler and Martha Jean Clinton all of Kansas City, MO, his special niece and nephew Sue White and Tommy Butler that took care of him and also a number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Edward and two sisters, Vera Lee White and Helen Butler. Funeral services for Robert Butler will be 1 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow with Rev. Don White officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service from Noon to 1 PM. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Lewis Chapel Community Church or Lincoln Cemetery in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
