Laura Huber 1958 – 2015 Armstrong resident, Laura Huber passed away October 28, 2015 at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia. She was 56 years of age. Laura Dawn Darling Huber was born November 25, 1958 in San Antonio, TX to John and Frances (Harper) Brungot. She graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, TX. Laura served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1978 to 1981. She married David Huber October 17, 1997 in Armstrong, MO. She was an EMT with Howard County Ambulance Service for several years and later worked 15 years as an Admissions Clerk at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Laura loved her family and enjoyed her pet dogs in her spare time. Survivors include her husband David of the home, two step sons, Christopher (Michaela) Huber of Fayette and Jesse (Angel) Huber of Higbee, her father, John Brungot of Malakoff, TX, sister, Nancy (Todd) Worthy of Tyler, TX, three brothers, Shawn (Jeri) Brungot of Glen Heights, TX, Kevin Brungot of Tyler, TX and Blaine (Misty) Brungot of San Angelo, TX and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Jaye Brungot and brother, Blaine Alan Brungot. A memorial service will be 11 AM, November 2, 2015 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Jamie Page officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or the Gideons in care of the funeral home.
