Ron Clayton 1939 – 2016 Fayette resident, Ron Clayton passed away at his home on June 28, 2016. He was 77 years of age. Ronald Gene Clayton was born in Sturgeon, MO on February 22, 1939 to the late Conard and Pauline (Roberts) Clayton. Ron graduated from Mexico High School and later attended the University of North Texas. He served his country as a member of the United States Army where he trained for the work he enjoyed for the rest of his life. For over 50 years he worked as a medical x-ray and lab technician in Fayette. From the time the building was Keller Hospital to present day, Dr. Tinker’s office, Ron has been the x-ray and lab technician. He enjoyed playing tennis in his spare time. Ron had a deep love for his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by three children; Lisa Clayton-Howell, Kevin (Rebecca) Clayton, both of Fayette and David Clayton of Armstrong; brother, Bill Clayton of Mexico, MO; sister, Connie Beamer of Hannibal, MO; five grandchildren, Brandy Lembke, Tyler and Timothy Howell, Nichole Cleek and Taylor Clayton, all of Fayette; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dillan, and Leah Lembke, and Knox and Barrett Howell. Aside from his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle and Donald; a sister, Caroline; and a granddaughter, Melissa. In honor of Ron’s life, his family will greet friends at a visitation from 1 to 3 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home 174 Hwy 5 & 240 N, Fayette, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Central MO Humane Society, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
