Jimmy Fehling passed away peacefully at his home in Armstrong, after a long battle with cancer, July 2, 2017. He was 68 years of age. James Lester Fehling was born in Howard County, Missouri, August 6, 1948, the son of Virgil and Ruth (Kline) Fehling. He attended elementary school at St. Mary’s School in Glasgow and St. Joseph’s School in Salisbury. He also attended Armstrong High School. Jimmy married Sheryl Naylor in Fayette, Missouri, on May 3, 1980. Together they have enjoyed 37 years of marriage. Jimmy was a hard worker, holding various jobs as a carpenter, a truck driver and a farmer on the Fehling farm. He loved the outdoors. Jimmy enjoyed riding horses, hunting and camping. Jimmy will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Fehling, of Armstrong; daughter, Lorie (Scott) Bousquet, of Centralia, MO; son, Kenneth (Jesse) Fehling, of Armstrong; three brothers, Bruce (Joyce) Bowers, of Fayette, Virgil M. Fehling, of Armstrong; John Fehling, of Armstrong; two sisters, Roxanne Fehling, of Fayette and Vicki Gamble, of LaPlace, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Trenton, Lexie, Cole and Hallie; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. He is also survived by close friends, Ammie Himmelberg, Tina (Ryan) Milligan and Davie Himmelberg. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for Mr. Fehling will be 10 AM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, Missouri. Visitation will be held the evening before the service from 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 6, at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Mary’s School of Glasgow or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in care of the funeral home.
