Longtime Fayette resident, Juanita Shaw, passed away at Glasgow Gardens in Glasgow, MO on September 20, 2017. She was 78 years of age. Juanita Belle Shaw was born on September 14, 1939, the daughter of Ed and Anna Mae (Sartain) Roberts. She graduated from Fayette High School in 1957. Juanita was first married to Henry Davis Haggard for 12 years. On May 10, 1973, Juanita married Dr. William Shaw, Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they enjoyed over 36 years of marriage until Dr. Shaw preceded her in death on March 23, 2010. Juanita worked as an office manager at Shaw Medical Clinic in Fayette for a number of years. Juanita was a member of Unity Baptist Church and later attended Faith Family Church in Fayette. She loved gardening, geneology and spending time with family. She served on the Fayette Area Common Fund committee and was a member of the Fayette Garden Club. She is survived by her four children, Cynthia (Neil) Seltzer of Chesterfield, Mo., Terry (Susan) Haggard of Fayette, Mo., Nancy (Jeff) Page of Columbia, Mo., and Cheri (John) Huster of Fayette, Mo.; eleven grandchildren, Valen (Nick) Kastens, Dale Wolchko, Natalie (Brock) Gale, Spencer (Bethany) Page, Anna (Shane) Pearman, Carly Page, Nathan Innes, Blake Huster, Matt Page, Chloe Huster, and Addie Huster; and six great-grandchildren, Matt, Abigail and Ryan Kastens, Grady Gale, Ronan and Rylan Page. She is also survived by a brother, Jim (Jackie) Roberts of Grain Valley, Mo. In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Young and Norma Jean Harper. A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Shaw’s honor at 2 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Pastor Jamie Page officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow the service at Fayette City Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Fayette Area Common Fund or Alzheimer's Association Walk to end Alzheimers in care of the funeral home.
