Wallace Boley passed away January 2, 2018 at his home in Glasgow. He was 71 years of age. Wallace Dean Boley was born April 13, 1946 in rural Marceline, MO, the son of Russell and Doris (Richardson) Boley. Wallace attended Salisbury High School. He married Kathy Kuhn September 10, 1966 at the United Methodist Church in Glasgow. Together, they’ve enjoyed over 51 years of marriage. Wally held numerous jobs and was skilled in many trades. He worked primarily as a machinist at American Recreation for over 15 years. Wally farmed, worked in carpentry, operated a drill machine at Standard Havens, and he also was a truck driver for John Deere. When he was able, Wally’s favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of the home; two sons, Dean Boley and James (Jessie) Boley, both of Glasgow; 5 grandchildren, Brittany, Scarlett, Wyatt, Waylon, and Dalton; four brothers, Darold Boley of Newton, KS, Lee Roy Boley of Salisbury, Tom (Bonnie) Boley of Fayette and Dannie Boley of Salisbury; special niece, Gayle Krouse of Salisbury, along with a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wally was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Smith. A memorial service honoring Mr. Boley will be 11 AM, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Pastor Karen Alden officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service. A private burial will take place at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Glasgow Food Pantry and Glasgow UMC (United Methodist Church), in care of the funeral home.
