Lifelong Glasgow resident, Sarah Beeler, passed away suddenly at Glasgow Gardens on January 7, 2018. She was 74 years of age. Sarah L. Beeler was born in Glasgow, MO, February 2, 1943, the daughter of Paul and Christine (Fuemmeler) Forbes. She attended Glasgow High School. On October 17, 1959 she married George Beeler at St. Mary Church in Glasgow. George preceded her in death August 17, 2007. Sarah loved to quilt, making numerous quilts for family members. Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on through her family. She is survived by seven children, Darryl (Tamila) Beeler, of Gilliam, MO; Gail (Tim Teeter) Beeler, of Bucklin, MO; Paul (Tammy) Beeler, of Fayette, MO; Kevin (Lynette) Beeler, of Fayette; Gary (Kelly) Beeler, of Fayette; Eric (Kerstin) Beeler, of Slater, MO; and Sherri (Chris Cleek) Beeler, of Glasgow; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Pauline (Bill) Monnig, of Glasgow, Geraldine (Don) Norris, of Glasgow, Norma (Daryl) Hubbard, of Glasgow; brother Bill (Wendy) Forbes, of Glasgow; brother-in-law, Steve McCabe, of Glasgow; and special family friend Jimmy Don Tyre, of Branson, MO. In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Gennah, and a sister, Donna McCabe. A visitation for Mrs. Beeler will be 5-7 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastors Jamie Page and Sandra Enyard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Glasgow Volunteer Fire Department, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
