Cecil Coutts 1947 – 2018 Long time Fayette resident, Cecil Coutts passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO April 29, 2018. He was 71 years of age. Charles Cecil Coutts was born January 3, 1947 in Fayette, MO, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Muir) Coutts. He graduated from Fayette High School, the class of 1965. In April of 1967, Cecil enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as an aircraft maintenance specialist. After four years of service, Cecil was honorably discharged in April of 1971. On August 27, 1976, Cecil married Lynn Rae Estep. Together they enjoyed nearly 30 years of marriage. Lynn preceded Cecil in death February 27, 2006. Cecil was remarried to Rose Semon Coutts on May 14, 2017 at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Cecil worked for Robb Electric and Plumbing for 16 years. He enjoyed woodworking and going for rides on his motorcycle. Cecil was a loyal Patriot Guard member, volunteering his time to honor fallen military heroes, first responders, and honorably discharged veterans. Cecil was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Rocheport, MO. He is survived by his wife Rose Semon Coutts of Fayette, MO; son, Charles Patrick (Jenny) Coutts of Harrisburg, MO; two brothers, John (Linda) Coutts of Midway, MO and Keith (Lisa) Coutts of Frankfurt, KY; granddaughter, Emily Coutts; special niece, Betty Martin, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service honoring Mr. Coutts will be 11 AM, Monday, May 7, 2018 at Faith Family Church in Fayette, MO with Revs. Kevin Leiby and Jim Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 4-7:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette. Burial with military honors will follow the service at Smith Chapel Cemetery in rural Rocheport, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Smith Chapel Cemetery or Central Missouri Honor Flight. Final arrangements were under the direction of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service of Fayette.
