Glasgow resident, Frank Walker, 90, passed away at Glasgow Gardens on March 5, 2019. W. Frank Walker, Jr. was born March 5, 1929 in Kellerton, Iowa, the son of W. Frank, Sr. and Ethyle (Will) Walker. Frank graduated from Kirksville High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Korean War. On October 11, 1952, Frank married Danley Miller. Together, they’ve enjoyed over 66 years of marriage. Frank worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company as a serviceman for 30 plus years, until his retirement. When he was able, Frank enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife, Danley Walker of Glasgow; son, Doug (Theresa) Walker of Glasgow; granddaughter, Melanie (Jonny) Fitzgerald of Glasgow; grandson, Weston (Jason) Walker of Florissant, MO; two great-granddaughters, Baylee and Rylee Fitzgerald; and two half-sisters, Bonnie Rogers and Pat Kirk. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a son, Guy Walker, and a brother, Jim Walker. A funeral service for Mr. Walker will be 1 PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Pastor Noah Burgdorf officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Higbee City Cemetery in Higbee, MO. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Glasgow Senior Center, in care of the funeral home.
