Harry S. Tausch 1924 – 2019 Harry S. Tausch of Glasgow, MO was welcomed into heaven March 19 2019. He was 94. Harry was born November 20, 1924 in Tarboro, NC, the third son of John and Mary Tausch. He graduated from Ashley High School in Gastonia, NC in 1942. Harry then served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Harry was promoted to Staff Sergeant and later came home with two Bronze Service Stars and the Purple Heart medal. Following his Army service, Harry continued his education earning a Bachelors Degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, a Masters Degree from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and a Doctorate Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. On December 26, 1954 he married Mary A. Perry in Bloomington, IN. While raising their two daughters, Harry served as a Professor of Psychology at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. In 1970 he came to Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO to serve as professor and head of the Psychology Department. Harry was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, the National Science Foundation, a past member of Rotary International, and a member of Linn Memorial United Methodist Church. Harry is survived by his daughters, Betty (Walter) Nickel of Orlando, FL and Jeannie Tausch of Fayette, MO; his sister, Margaret (Dan) Blackwood of Colonial Heights, VA; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. According to Harry’s wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Missouri School of Medicine.
