Roger Brown, 75, passed away at his home in Belton, MO September 6, 2019. Roger W. Brown was born March 21, 1944 in Armstrong, MO, the son of the late, Raymond and Sally (Davis) Brown. He attended Glasgow High School. Roger worked as a machine operator for Owens Illinois Plastic Co. that’s now called Gram Packing. He retired in 2009, after 38 years of service. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and playing cards with friends. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Brown of Kansas City, MO; five children, Marquita (Santo) Huntley of Kansas City, Roger Brown, Jr. of Fairbanks, Michelle Miex of Oklahoma City, OK, Catherine Jones of Fairbanks, AK, and Angela Mayberry-Jones of Phoenix, AZ; three step-children, Jennifer Skirlock of Belton, MO, Donnie Gatewood of Liberty, MO and David Gatewood of Belton, MO; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; four sisters, Isabell Terrill of Glasgow, Marquita Henry, Recoila Grayson, and Patricia Brown, all of Kansas City; and one brother, David Brown of Kansas City. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by five sisters, Ina Claire Payne, Ann Brown, Gertrude Smith, Louise Lewis and Jenna Brown (infant), and one brother, John Brown. A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Brown will be 1 PM, Friday, September 13, 2019 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Revs. Gray Jackson and Reginald Pete officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Roanoke Cemetery in Roanoke, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to Roanoke Cemetery, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service of Glasgow.
