History of any kind was always an interest to Buzz, especially American Indian History. His love for history also took him and Dena (and at times, their children) on many adventurous vacations…canoeing on the White River, visiting Indian Reservations, Yellowstone Park, Grand Canyon, Ireland, Canadian fishing and so much more. Buzz also mastered some cooking skills. His Cajun smoked turkey, meticulously patted burgers and pork steaks, and any kind of BBQ plus the tradition of kettle beef. Survivors include his wife, Dena Fitzgerald, of Glasgow; four children, Sharryn (Brett) Hawkes of Bonnots Mill, MO, Dawna (Frank) Sbisa, of Lee’s Summit MO, Jonathan (Melanie) Fitzgerald, of Glasgow, MO, and Debra (Todd) Carmack, Glasgow, MO; 13 grandchildren, Chelsea, Dakota, Tanner, Alexis, Hunter, Blade, Amber, Skyler, Baylee, Rylee, Malia, Laken and Kaden; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Brylyn, Leo, Noah and Lincoln; sister, Lucille McGrath, of Fulton, MO; and sister and brother-in-law, Jinny (Rob) Nordmeyer, of Franklin, TN.
