Chad Sanders, 46, was welcomed home by Jesus on January 20, 2021 after passing at his home in rural Glasgow, MO. He was surrounded by his family continuing to share the wit that often made his family and friends laugh and smile. Chad was born October 25, 1974 in Fayette, MO, a son to Larry and Nancy (Cropp) Sanders. In the Spring of 1993, he graduated from Glasgow High School. After graduation, he later began a career serving the residents at Glasgow’s nursing home where he worked for approximately 21 years until health challenges forced his departure. He was committed to his job and loved the many friends he made during his years there. Chad’s journey was not an easy one. He persevered through cancer at a young age and new tumors began repeatedly appearing in 2003, reoccurring through his remaining years on earth. In 2016 he lost his sight. Through it all his passion for life flourished and he found happiness in the best life has to offer, including mom’s cooking, friends, family, and faith in his risen Lord and Savior. Chad was a life-long member of Salem Lutheran Church in the rural Forest Green, Missouri area. He was baptized there as an infant and confirmed his faith in 1993 at the same altar. He was active in worship and enjoyed participating in many events sponsored by the congregation. Chad had a passion for sports. This included the Glasgow Yellowjackets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Missouri Tigers, but the team he most admired was the St Louis Cardinals. He relished every victory and agonized with each defeat. He enjoyed listening to their games and visiting Busch Stadium. In addition to sports, Chad also enjoyed traveling, playing games, fishing, and time with friends. He was also a Glasgow Lions Club member and loved the camaraderie in the organization. Chad loved his family and friends and the times they spent together. Holidays were special and his siblings were always eager to receive his annual Christmas card that typically resulted in some good laughs. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed deeply. Survivors include his parents, Larry and Nancy (Cropp) Sanders of rural Glasgow; three siblings, Curtis (Nancy) Sanders of Armstrong, Gwen (Greg) Nanneman of Salisbury, and Kyle (Laura) Sanders of Normal, Illinois; 6 nieces, 4 nephews, 3 great-nieces, and 3 great-nephews. Chad is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack & Marjorie Cropp and Estil and Erna Sanders. Visitation for Chad Sanders will be held Friday evening, January 22nd, 4:00 to 7:00 pm, at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Forest Green, MO (Salisbury, MO). The funeral service will occur on Saturday, January 23rd, 11:00 am, at the same location. Interment will then immediately follow the funeral service at Salem Lutheran church cemetery. Masks are required for visitation and highly recommended for the funeral service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hometown Homecare Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Salem Lutheran Church, in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St., Glasgow, MO 65254.
