Glasgow resident, Michael Partise, 65, passed away suddenly at his home on February 27, 2021. Michael John Partise was born October 22, 1955 in Boonville, MO, a son to the late James and Alice (Aholt) Partise. He graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1974. Michael furthered his education earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Central Methodist University in Fayette. On December 3, 1983, Michael married Montha Thong at St. Mary Church in Glasgow. Together, they’ve enjoyed over 37 years of marriage. Michael worked as a habilitation specialist II at the Marshall Habilitation Center for over 30 years, retiring in 2009. He had a passion for helping people, especially those with developmental disabilities. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate. Michael loved animals, particularly cats. He enjoyed music, movies and telling jokes. Survivors include his wife, Montha, of the home; his son, Johnny (Nicki) Partise of Columbia, MO; two brothers, Dan (Phyllis) Partise of Columbia, MO and Dick (Barb) Partise of Glasgow, MO. He is also survived by his soon-to-be granddaughter, who is due in March, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dell Craft. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Friday, March 5, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Glasgow, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service at St. Mary Church, starting at 10 AM. Interment will follow the funeral at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. Facemasks are required and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
