Andrew Diehls 1960 – 2021 Moberly resident, Andrew Diehls, 61, passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on June 15, 2021. Andrew George Diehls was born June 15, 1960 in Jefferson County, WI, a son to Evan A. and Mary (Rinehimer) Diehls. Andrew graduated from Fayette High School with the class of 1978. On October 15, 1983, he married the love of his life, Christine Cunningham, in Fayette, MO. Andrew was a longtime farmer and rancher. He was a hard-working man and stayed busy maintaining his crops and tending to his livestock. Andrew raised horses, cattle, and hogs. He enjoyed roping, trail riding, water sports, bowling, and playing pool and ping pong. Andrew previously served as Howard County Commissioner for the Eastern District for six years. He was a devoted Mason. Andrew completed his third degree and earned rank of Master Mason. He then became a Shriner. While involved with Shriners International, Andrew took pride in the philanthropy work and enjoyed helping those in need. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Andrew will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Christine Diehls of Moberly; two daughters, Chelsea Diehls of Huntsville, MO and Corinne (Lane) Best of Wright City, MO; mother, Mary Diehls of Fayette; three brothers, Peter Diehls, Steve (Joyce) Diehls, both of Fayette, and Charles Diehls of California. Andrew is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Andrew was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Diehls. Services honoring the life of Mr. Diehls will be 10 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, with Bro. Mitch Weinsting and Rev. Ruthie Espenschied officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Friday, June 18 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette.
