Glasgow resident, Billy Sickman, 64, passed away on August 29, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. William E. Sickman was born October 28, 1956 in Kansas City, MO, a son to the late Richard and Dorothy (Kimberling) Sickman. He attended elementary school at St. Mary’s, and graduated from Glasgow High School with the class of 1975. Straight out of high school, Billy went to work for Banquet Foods/Conagra in Marshall, MO. Billy always had a strong work ethic. He worked at Banquet/Conagra for 45 years until he retired in 2020. Billy was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and MU Tigers fan. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family, especially his niece, nephew and great-nephews. Survivors include his two sisters, Debbie (Frank Gerling) Absheer of Fayette, MO and Brenda (David) Grozier of Humble, TX; nephew Joey Wyrick, niece, Michelle Swigert (James Hundley) and nephew, Brandon Hilgedick; two great-nephews, Treyton Ginter and Hayden Swigert. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Sickman and a niece, Angela Wyrick. A funeral honoring the life of Mr. Sickman will be 10 AM, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow, with Fr. Joshua Duncan officiating. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Burial will follow the service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow.
