Julianne Sickman Glosemeyer 1929 - 2022 Julianne (Judy) Sickman Glosemeyer, 92, passed away peacefully at The Living Center in Marshall, MO on January 16, 2022. Julianne was born on June 26, 1929 in Norborne, Carroll County, MO, to Julius and Sallie Reiter. She graduated from Paseo High School in Kansas City, MO in 1946. She began her career as a secretary and continued that role during different stages of her life. On January 10, 1948, Julianne Reiter married Edward James Sickman, the love of her life, in Kansas City, MO and enjoyed over 26 years of marriage. Julianne and Edward moved to Glasgow and engaged in farming and living the country life. Julianne loved to can her produce from the garden, sew clothing for her daughters, quilting, planning family reunions and reading. She took an active role in the community by heading the PTO, Fall Dinners and Extension Clubs. She loved her family and loved spending time with them. In 1978 she married Erwin (Pat) Glosemeyer who also preceded her in death. Survivors include her three daughters, Kathryn Quesenberry of Lawson, MO, Patricia (Richard) Strodtman of Glasgow, MO and Joyce Arter of Mount Ayrs, Iowa. 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Julianne was preceded in death by her husband on May 4, 1974, three sons, Timothy Ray, John Albert, and Ralph Edward and one great-grandchild, Toby Conaway, parents and brother, Marvin. Gravesides services honoring her life will be held at the family’s convenience at a later date. Interment will follow service at Washington Cemetery in Glasgow, MO.
