Raymond Larson 1945 - 2015 Raymond Larson passed away at his home in rural Fayette on April 13, 2015. He was 69 years of age. Raymond Louis Larson was born on May 21, 1945 to Ernest and Ginny (DeWerdt) Larson in Solon Mills, Illinois. He married Sandra Thomas on June 15, 1963 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Together Ray and Sandra have enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Ray excelled in vehicle mechanics where he made his career. He was an accomplished inventor, receiving a U.S. patent for a device which allows one person to easily move any size trailer (The Ultimate Trailer Mover). Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967 and was honorably discharged. He loved classic cars and the game of golf. He is survived by his wife Sandra; one daughter Laurie (Vernon) Bennett; one Son Scott Louis (Karyn) Larson; two grandchildren, Joel Williamson and Amanda Goodenbour; and three great-grandchildren Zachary, Kaytlin and Dakota Louis. Besides his parents, Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Ted, and one grandson, Jordan Takota Larson. Visitation will be 10-11am, Friday, April 17th at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, Mo. A memorial service will be held at 11am, immediately following the visitation, with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will be held at 1:00pm at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo. The funeral procession to Jacksonville will be led by The Missouri Patriot Guard. Memorial contributions are suggested to Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
